Ethiopia Konga Takele Mammo Denbi - Natural - Organic
Delicious and balanced cup that is perfect for connisseurs and anyone delving into new flavor profiles. This crop was selected for how well it is at being fruit forward, yet not overly fruity. It is smooth and delicate. As espresso, it makes for a very juicy, cherry, and buttery like feel. Perfect for a holiday spice for those that need a changeup from their "every day" coffees.
This is a minimal intervention natural coffee, a Yirgacheffe district coffee from Ethiopia, produced by Takele Mammo Denbi, the former managing director of the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers’ Cooperative Union. This region produces a large chunk of the very highest caliber coffee grown in the world. The flavor profile is fruit-forward without being an "in your face" fruitbomb. Instead it has nuanced fruit characteristics with a delicately floral and clean finish.
Audience: Perfect for pour-overs, the coffee’s also versatile and is fun to experiment with espresso profiles. We’ll leave it up to you to figure out how you enjoy brewing it most!
Flavor Notes: Grape, Blackberry, Plum, Vanilla, Caramel
Certified Organic
Additional Information: Indigenous heirloom cultivars include those that are native to the country and can still be found wild in some regions. There are many guesses about where Ethiopian Arabica landraces came from, likely on the Boma plateau, but this is not 100% confirmed. Heirloom cultivars from Ethiopia are thought to be floral, citrusy, clean — the cream of the crop. There are upwards of 10,000 heirloom cultivars in Ethiopia today.
